An absolute delight to carry out some restoration/conservation work on these stunning cast iron railings for some wonderful clients in Northampton.

I think it is great when clients are wanting reclaimed ironwork installed in a period property! And this client went to great trouble to get the right aged gates to suit their cottage.

We worked with their builder to get the space right, made some minor adjustments to the gate, forged new bottom pivot hinges and new strap hinges, touched up some of the paint work and installed them in their fresh new home 🏡

As well as ticking some environmental boxes the client saved a lot of money finding a quality pair of 1930’s gates and they look like they have always been there!

Enjoyed this one! A nice little classic Victorian bow top gate with forged tulip detail! Installed last week. I always produce a hand drawn design for bespoke projects and the client was delighted with both the design and finished result!
